Amna (pronouns: she/her) is a graduate from Northwestern University with a Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a trained Integrative Systemic Therapist (IST) whose experience is grounded in cultural sensitivity and complemented by her lived experience as a South Asian and Muslim woman. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored for each client. Amna specializes in working systemically with couples, families, and individuals and in fostering secure attachments, improving communication, and resolving conflicts through understanding underlying emotions and needs. Amna's interests include exploring identity, attachment, intimacy, family of origin, and trauma. Amna is dedicated to creating an inclusive and compassionate space for healing and growth.

During her time at Northwestern University, Amna received premier clinical training at the Bette D. Harris Family & Child Clinic at the Family Institute. She also served as a research assistant for Dr. Alexandra Solomon, delving into topics related to intimate relationships and contributing to the production of the Reimagining Love podcast. Additionally, Amna was a teaching assistant for Dr. Solomon's renowned undergraduate course, Building Loving and Lasting Relationships: Marriage 101.

Amna draws inspiration from her work with Dr. Solomon, especially her teachings on Relational Self Awareness (RSA), a concept that encourages developing a curious and compassionate relationship with oneself as a foundation for nurturing meaningful connections with others. Amna provides therapy in English and Urdu/Hindi.

She is supervised by Nosheen Hydari, LMFT.
